Well, a 7 hour round trip for me today to pay a quick visit to the home office of Richard's Auto Parts. I gotta say, it's definitely a cool store. Tons of parts and lots of customers for 10:00 am on a Sunday morning. I gotta say there are no auto parts stores in this area that would compare to what Rich has.

Very nice operation and it was cool to visit with Rich for a while. I think he's ready to get to the track.

Thanks Mike and yes we jammed on Sunday! :D
It was kinda like Celebrity day with Ellington and Dave Germain from atv drag racers hanging out for a minute and later that day "the man" himself Scott Scheytt from the Army dragster team roll in :D Pretty exciting for a little town like ours

I am ready to make a pass

I decided to try a sidewalk sale
We didn't sell a lot but there was a ton of people stopping and coming in the store so I guess it worked

well I must say my driver crew is probably at it's best right now
they have really worked hard on organizing the crammed back room and now 5 truck boxes we have in the parking lot
pretty hillbilly I know but when the City won't let you expand you have to get creative
The good news is after 15 years of asking and drawing up plans we have finally been approved by the state to use the sewer out front for run off water
Translation we can add on! This is huge, although just the first step, and we will most likely have to either bury pipe or do a retention pond it will be well worth it in the long run :D

the aisles between shelving are way too narrow, but we kinda got use to it

you can never have enough inventory or showroom space in our business

we have really diversified and now carry quite a few snowmobile helmets

I'm looking forward to the expansion and new business opportunity in 2011
