Flywheel shake up

Postby cj red » Thu Oct 09, 2014 6:05 pm

My flywheel bolts have came loose twice this year. The first time they were to torque specs with blue Loctite. I cleaned the threads, used new hardware, torque specs, and used red Loctite. Two races later, loose again. I run a 258, T-15, shift at 6200RPM. Any hints on how to remedy this?

I have and still run an AMC six. I battled the same problem. First be sure that the bolts you use are going completely through the crank. second use loctite primer and RED loctite. if this does not remedy the problem dowel the flywheel to the crank using solid pins and be sure to locite them to the crcank as well.
