I thought I would share some of my progress with friends who have been asking about this project that has been a few years in the making.Basic info is a 6.0 with good rods and a camshaft.Turbo is a bw s483 with 1.32 ar.Nothing fancy,I just felt the need to jump into uncharted waters and to get my fab skills polished up.The truck is familiar to most Indiana and Ohio racers though I have only raced a handful of times the past few years.87 chevy turbo 400 dana 60 divorced transfer case.Just your basic bracket racer.I will post pics and give updates as I go so stay tuned for the rest

Ive had some time to get a little work done but its still a ways off.All the hotside is done and functional, coldside is to but for now it has a carburetor for start up and leak check. Its a miracle but everything is airtight and I was able to start it for a short time today.Sounds very mild and quiet. Now I just have to get the rest of the injection on and mount the fuel pump.ImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImage[url=http://s1223.photobucket.com/albums/dd504/fmillop/?action=view&current=IMG_0199.

That's going to be cool. I'm looking forward to seeing this run.

I looked at the pics before I read your explanation. I was wondering why the carb was on there.

I think it would be fine carburated but I wouldnt have the ability to change the tune nearly as easy.Im really not looking forward to learning how to tune EFI.

Tuning the efi on that one is easy enough, mefi4 some off the shelf stuff available, where you planing on msd's box for your ignition. is that a 58x motor?

It's a 24x motor and the stock ECM will be used with efi live software. I do have the msd 6010 box on just to start it and double check for leaks. Ritchie Kolb from BES will be handling the initial tuning and dyno flogging,my fear is I am always trying different ideas and that may get me in trouble when it's as easy as a few keystrokes to make major changes.
