i backed it out of my brother in-laws barn and went for a ride yesterday.
everything worked well, motor ran good, trans up and down shifts all by it's self now, all the gauges worked including fuel level, the speedometer is a little bit slow, & it stopped good. WHOOOO HOOOO!
the taller gear ratio and tighter converter made a huge difference.
it dont steer as good as it used to.
I have to get the front end aligned, toe in adjustment was "that looks good" alignment, the caster camber may be off now due to me tipping/wedging the front axle for a better u-joint angle.
the road surface of them tires are not flat, arched so to say, that may be part of the problem too, maybe too much air??
I'll get it aligned and go from there.
i found 1/2" bolts in the front springs that should be 9/16 for the hanger and the spring bushing, i seen the spring move back and forth at the front hanger when looking around after the ride, I'll get the right bolts tomorrow, then have the alignment done.
