Has there been issues in the EC4WDA with any of this? On the fuel tank issue, it also says "crossmember". Makes me wonder if they just don't want it hanging off the front of the car?

Hell Ben hang an old 9" axle in place of your weight bar on your front bumper, problem solved. They have alot of rules but I have never seen one about multiple front axles. :-D

I guess technically my tank is behind my forward most crossmember. Hell...we're good...hopefully. I just want to run the hill anyway. There has been a couple pretty good wheelie pics over the last couple years. I'd like to run it just to say I did and get a few pics.

Ben i am sure there will be more than a few cameras out if you come to run the hill !! The fuel cell in front rule looks pretty much the same to me, maybe i am missing something.

That rule has been in their rule books for years. It was EC4WDA attempt to keep the altered and dragster chassis from competing back in the 80's. There is (or was) a claus that was added that said any SEMA approved chassis and specs. are accepted. SEMA specs have now become SFI specs as SEMA is no longer involved in any rules making. All the chassis I ever built were built to SFI specs and will pass NHRA certification . I think that claus was in the roll cage chassis specs area of the rule book.
